Help Gen Z optimize their productivity in learning.

Inspiration Time management has always been one of the most difficult skills that people push themselves to be good at. However, they forgot that work management is also important. While others focus on time management only, I found myself bothered about work management due to its complexity. As a high school student, I used to be overwhelmed with my workload for a long time. I didn't know how to arrange my work, which task I should prioritize, and what factors help me to prioritize the work. Fortunately, life had given me a lesson in work management by making me choose between finishing my final exam (importance) and booking a flight ticket (urgency-because flight tickets were limited at that time). Thankfully, this event taught me to manage my work based on the importance and urgency, how to identify importance and urgency, and which factors should be prioritized. Things got better when I got to the university because work management wasn't a problem anymore. However, other people don’t feel the same. While tutoring at the learning center in the university, I met a lot of peers who struggled with work management as I used to. Therefore, I have come up with an idea of helping Gen Z optimize their productivity in learning and working by creating ZGoalizt, a web app, helps them make a thorough plan to manage their work. ZGoalizt is from 3 words: Gen Z, Goal, and List. The focus of the web app is to help Gen Z make their worklists based on importance and urgency which is known as the Eisenhower Matrix method later on.

What it does Having the account and users can access the home page to add the tasks and sections. Following this feature, users will add all of their tasks with a specific time and due date. Then, users will have a chance to access a short checklist to help determine which work is truly important. Then, the second tab is “Mission and Vision.” Why did we create this tab? It’s reasonable for every user to acknowledge their goals shortly. In this tab, users must consider what they plan to do for the upcoming week, month, or even year. We set this tab as a journal where users can jot down a list of things they want or need to do to reach an achievement. By doing this, we aim to assist Gen Z to independently decide for their future. Then, "Todolist" tab will help users arrange all tasks to do in a day based on their importance and urgency. We set the different colors to mark its level: orange means important, red means urgent, the gradient between purple and orange marks the combination of importance and urgency, and green is completion. Combined with two functions and the Eisenhower Matrix, the web can help users assign everyday tasks based on their importance and urgency which we hope users learn how to manage their work in the future to get rid of procrastinating and overwhelming. Accompanying this feature, we create a tool to calculate users’ productivity. To be funnier and more attractive, we added a “binary tree" for users to witness their productivity. As productivity increases, the tree will grow and vice versa. Our “binary tree" might be funny without leaves, but we want to deliver a message. Like a tree without leaves to cover, you should be yourself without any covers. We are reminding you to be realistic about yourself and your goal. In ZGoalizt, you are free to be yourself with your dreams.

Challenges we ran into Education in Gen Z

Accomplishments that we're proud of completing our website with great ideas and all the functions of the website met our expectations and description. We are proud of spreading this idea and project to all hackers and judges to show how we care for the Elders during this pandemic.

What we learned in this hackathon is teamwork spirit. We had a great time working together. Moreover, each of us has a chance to improve our skills and learn new skills related to design, coding, and idea formation.

What's next for ZGoalizt we aim to utilize AI to help users categorize their works due to their importance and urgency corresponding with their mission, vision, and tasks addition. Moreover, we would love to design and change the theme colors to make the web look more attractive.
