Inspiration

Inspirited by the Among Us game and WhatsApp

What it does

  • An AR world where users meet other people virtually. By implementing the mapbox SDK, a location-based AR, we can use global data to generate custom 3D worlds and incorporate traffic-based directions. Besides, we can import character animations with WRLD Unity SDK, including humans and animals, to the 3D map. Together, our platform allows users to "go out for a walk" in a virtual world. On their trip, the user might meet strangers or friends, and they can choose if they want to have a conversation with that person. In this way, users can meet new people just like they do in real life!
  • Chat page, where users can either do video or text chat with their friends.[/size]
  • Groups of interest, where the user searches the topic they are interested in, and the app leads them to a discussion group. Users can also either do video or text chat. This group is based on user location by implementing a map API. (we will ask whether users want the app to access their location when they first log in and can be changed later) In this way, users find people they love talking to, making friends in real life.
  • User profile page, where users can post stories about themselves in video or text form.
  • In addition, there are direct links to other commonly used applications. ## How I built it Using Bubble ## Challenges I ran into Getting Map API to work, sending data between pages, getting data from database ## Accomplishments that I'm proud of We successfully deployed log in, sign up, display user locations on Map, and live chat in 1 day. ## What I learned I learned that we as students have the potential to work on something big and exciting, even changing the world. It is difficult to start the process, but once we get started, it becomes fun and educational. I also learned about the Bubble interface and how to build amazing apps there easily. ## What's next for ZeroZone Need to implement mapbox sdk and add in WRLD Unity SDK to achieve our end goal, which is to have users explore an AR world and meet strangers virtually, thus increasing the human connections in a world of social distancing.
