Problem

Our planet faces a critical environmental crisis driven by: High carbon footprints from daily human activities such as transportation, energy consumption, and waste generation. These issues contribute to: Significant greenhouse gas emissions, pollution of our oceans, harm to wildlife and accelerating climate change. Despite growing awareness, individuals and communities often lack: Tools and knowledge to effectively reduce their environmental impact.

What it does

Purpose: A user-friendly tool designed to help individuals understand and reduce their carbon footprint.

Functionality: Calculates users' carbon emissions based on their daily activities and provides personalized recommendations to lower their impact.

User Interaction: Accessible via voice input, making it easy for users to engage with Carbon Groot.

How we built it

We utilized: Javascript, Node.js, Postman Typescript, React, HumeAI, and You.com.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating HumeAI's text input function and you.com's API.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a well-rounded climate tech project. We set up various functionalities to keep users engaged and track their carbon footprint.
