Inspiration

I saw comments from a lot of investors that they struggle to keep track of all their assets and getting essential metrics for their DeFi portfolio is even harder. Current tools do not support more sophisticated insights that could be viable for many investors (e.g. impermanent loss). Additionally, most of the time, savvy users have their assets scattered all over the ecosystem which makes it increasingly hard to keep track of them. Currently, modern DeFi protocols require more complex computations and sophistication to get the desired metrics. There comes Zeno Finance to help solve these problems with an all-in-one platform that gives users more insight into their DeFi holdings and additionally allows them to track the on-chain activity of other investors.

Problems

  • keeping track of all assets
  • calculating impermanent loss
  • calculating loss/gain for individual positions
  • estimating average APY for the whole portfolio
  • track the on-chain activity of important DeFi players

Solutions

  • aggregate and display essential data in one place
  • automatically calculate essential metrics (impermanent loss, averaged APY, etc.)
  • a simple tool for tracking on-chain activity

What it does

Zeno Finance is an all-in-one solution, which has numerous features.

Dashboard

Gives insights into the general portfolio metrics. This includes:

  • averaged APY across all user holdings
  • total portfolio value
  • the value of the impermanent loss
  • the value of holdings by categories
  • number of tracked transactions

Dex positions

This category is especially useful for liquidity providers. It allows them to get details about their positions:

  • Impermanent loss
  • Impermanent loss percentage
  • Averaged APY across all positions as well as individual positions
  • Profit considering impermanent loss
  • Initial investment value and much more

Currently, we can support all UniswapV2-based decentralized exchanges. We start by supporting the largest pools on Tripolaris, WannaSwap and still looking for future partners.

On-chain news

Allows users to track the on-chain activity of a specified address. Zeno.finance will fetch transactions created by this account and display the name of the called function to better understand the activity.

Lending positions

Bastion is the biggest protocol on Aurora by the TVL. We support all of Bastion's lending pools and provide details about your positions to help you understand your potential gains. This includes:

  • Average APY
  • Your total locked liquidity value
  • Largest position

Stablecoins

We understand that during the bear market users tend to keep a lot of their liquidity in various stablecoins. In order to keep up with the demand we give insights into your stablecoin holdings. Users can see the total value of their stablecoins and most important track the depeg value and therefore potential depeg loss.

How we built it

This project utilizes various APIs and RPC nodes in order to fetch and aggregate data in one place. We use algorithms to make calculations on some essential metrics e.g. impermanent loss or average APY.

Additionally, in order to save on requests, applications will remember and cache various calls. This includes historical prices, current prices, average blocks per day and etc.

In the future, we plan to deploy our own dedicated The Graph nodes that would allow users to track all their liquidity pool's positions without making unnecessary requests.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating all the different protocols turned out to be really time-consuming. However, finishing the project on time was a great achievement. The project is created so that adding more protocols and creating more insightful data shouldn't be hard.

What's next for Zeno Finance

The next steps for the project will be to implement more protocols and add support for the Near native chain. This might include pricing of options, and futures contracts, but also tools for less advanced users.

The most important aspect of this project is to make it community driven. We want to understand our users' problems by listening to our community. We will focus on providing DeFi information on metrics that are hard to calculate manually. Everyone can support the project by joining our social media and leaving personal feedback.
