When I looked at the theme of 'empowerment' my mind immediately turned to being able to afford your own life and not being dependent on other people to buy things for you. I think this is a major part of our lives which is not taught in schools at the depth which it should be. That is why I have create Zenn. It empowers teenagers to take control of their finances and learn good practises such as saving, budgeting, and investing.

What it does

Once logged in, you are greeted by an account page which has 4 different components. It has a balance page which allows you to track your expenses and build a to-do list of things that you need to get done. It has a 'Stocks' section which is a reference sheet explaining about investing and the stock market. It has an account section which allows you modify and add things to your account. It also has an 'earn' section which lets you see job opportunities and ways of making money as a teenager!

How we built it

This was built fully using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in Qoom.

Challenges we ran into

I had never used Qoom before, so I found it quite challenging, but once I understood the UI, it went rather well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am really proud of implementing the login system and also managing to complete the expense tracker

What's next for Zenn

I hope to connect a real-time stocks API to the web app, and maybe create a discord bot :)
