Inspiration

Mental well-being is an important part of student life, especially for students dealing with academic pressure, stress, and personal challenges. We were inspired to explore how technology and machine learning could help make mental health awareness more accessible.

Problem

Students may experience mental health challenges without recognizing early indicators or knowing where to find appropriate support. ZenGen explores how a technology-based platform can help users understand mental health-related information.

Our Solution

ZenGen is an AI-powered mental wellness platform focused on mental health prediction and awareness. It combines a web application with data-driven approaches to explore mental health indicators and present useful information to users.

The project is intended to support awareness and exploration, not replace professional medical assessment or diagnosis.

How We Built It

ZenGen was developed using a modern web technology stack, including React, TypeScript, Vite, Node.js, and Express.js. The project also uses database-related technologies and machine learning concepts as part of its technical foundation.

We organized the application into frontend and backend components and used GitHub for source code management.

Challenges

Some of the challenges involved organizing the application architecture, managing dependencies, integrating different technologies, and preparing the project for a reliable development and deployment workflow.

We also explored DevOps practices such as CI/CD automation, containerization, Kubernetes configuration, and infrastructure management.

What We Learned

This project helped us understand how software engineering, machine learning, and DevOps practices can work together in a practical application.

We gained experience with application architecture, version control, automated build workflows, deployment configurations, and the importance of documenting technical limitations.

Future Improvements

Future work includes improving model evaluation, strengthening application reliability, completing deployment automation, and developing monitoring capabilities.

ZenGen is an educational technology project and is not intended to provide clinical diagnosis or medical advice.
