Inspiration
Our inspiration was making sure Zen was taken care of when he is on Earth and we decided to use our Biomedical Engineering Skills to take good care of him.
What it does
Our device is smart gloves that helps Zen physically and mentally it also protects Zen from the cold weather. This was achieved by including a heart rate sensor that can measure his heart rate as well as oxygen level since this is a new place for Zen. Apart from that we have also included a Vibration Motor that is able to detect when Zen is in destress and alert Zen through vibration. We also have a LED Display that shows different modes such as the stress level, as well all the data from the heart rate and oxygen level. We also implemented buttons that are able to influence the different modes on the gloves. As well our ultrasonic sensor that with a hand gesture can unlock his dashboard so he can you his spaceship.
How we built it
We used a ultrasonic sensor, heart rate sensor, LED Display screen, buttons, vibration motor.
Challenges we ran into
Making the sensor work ( the sensor was fried :( ) , implementing the LED display.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Using Raspberry Pi for the first time and developing our hardware skills and stepping out of our comfort zone and using innovation.
