I created this website for people to self-reflect on their everyday lives and emotions in their minds. Knowing what kind of emotions comes into your mind is very important to improve mental health. In the midst of the pandemic, we all have to see little changes in our minds and embrace all the positive and negative emotions.
What it does
This website asks the user several questions about how their day was and what kind of emotions they felt throughout the day. It creates time for the user to look back and think about themselves from different viewpoints.
How we built it
I built it using VS code and referring to several documents and videos about HTML, CSS, and JS. I also used the knowledge I gained from the Web development workshop in the citrohacks.
Challenges we ran into
It was challenging to position the contents in the way I want. It was hard to align and order it so I had to change and run the code again and again.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of everything I did in this project because it was the first coding project I have done and I am happy with how it turned out. Also, I am proud that this website can help people improve their overall mental health.
What we learned
I learned that the user can see the actual code of every website they view and see what is happening in the background of the website. I think it is really cool that I can see the codes if I click inspect on google.
What's next for ZEN Meditation
The next step for ZEN Meditation is to make the website more user-friendly and engaging for the users so that many people can benefit from this website and improve their overall mental health. I am also planning to add more content and resources about the importance of self-reflection, journaling, and meditation for raising mental-health awarness.
