The aim of this project was to focus on an integrative study tool, that maximizes productivity by taking into account an individual's sleep, mood and work hours in order to provide predicted study times for optimized performance.
Zeki is built on 2 core principles, Study Suggestion essentially asks for questions related to mood, sleep and work hours. After analyzing everything, Zeki provides insight into peak performance study hours. MyZekiSchedule allows you to add and delete a list of tasks to stay on top of your deadlines.
Zeki was mainly built through Flask with use of additional HTML and CSS
Challenges: -Flask was not initially running properly for us -We had problems with the Visual Studio Code Live Share trying to all code on the same platform -Another problem we had with Visual Studio Code Live Share was loading the website on all our devices -We tried shifting to React but had many problems, such as not being able link the subpages properly, debugging problems, and understanding the core principles of React -We tried making an image a background on Flask, but the images were not formatting properly and kept duplicating
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
Working on Zeki had been a tough ride, however we managed to build the foundation of Zeki. Our StudySuggestion had been a success after several attempts to rebuild and modify. We are proud to have created a product that can address a real-world problem and that can have a significant impact on student success.
What we learned: Our team has learned invaluable lessons about teamwork, rapid development, and using platforms we haven’t used such as Flask. The hackathon environment pushed us to focus on developing an idea quickly, to prioritize working on core features and to leverage each team member's strengths.
What's next for: In future iterations we plan to add interactive images and animation to make Zeki more user friendly. We also plan to have better insights into suggested timings for Study sessions by asking more personalized questions and by incorporating AI with checklist style and better Scheduling.
