Inspiration
As a solo founder with a young family and a demanding full-time job, launching and growing a brand has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever attempted. Between school drop-offs, late-night product fixes, and the endless responsibilities of parenthood and corporate life, trying to get EduVibz off the ground often felt impossible. EduVibz is my dream—an educational music streaming platform that helps students learn through catchy, curriculum-aligned songs. But dreams require time, and time was the one thing I never seemed to have.
I found myself spending hours trying to manage social media content to promote EduVibz, only to fall behind because the rest of my life couldn’t wait. That’s when SnapSocial was born. I didn’t set out to build a second product—I just needed a tool that would help me stay visible and consistent online without draining the energy I needed for my family, my day job, and my vision.
What it does
SnapSocial allows founders and creators to build out a full 30-day social media content calendar in under 30 minutes. It generates tailored brand research, audience-aligned captions, platform-specific post variations, and AI-generated visuals that can be edited, exported, and published. The platform helps users stay consistent and on-brand without spending hours on repetitive tasks.
How we built it
Using AI coding tools, it took me months to bring EduVibz to life. But with SnapSocial, things were different. Bolt.new gave me the speed and flexibility I had been missing. Its instant feedback loop, visual-first design, and ease of integration made it possible to go from idea to functioning platform far quicker than I expected.
What began as a scrappy attempt to ship one or two working features turned into a polished and usable product. I built SnapSocial while recovering from illness, moving house, and preparing for a major go-live at work. There were nights I built in the dark while my family slept and mornings I worked while making breakfast. But with Bolt and persistence, I made it happen.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was time. Juggling a full-time job, parenting, and managing a household made it incredibly difficult to find focus time. I also got sick during the build period, which slowed progress. The emotional toll of trying to build something meaningful while feeling like everything else was pulling me in different directions was very real.
There were also significant technical challenges. One of the biggest was building a reliable message queue from scratch after struggling to get the Supabase queues working properly. This added unexpected complexity and time pressure. Another major setback came just days before submission, when the payment provider I had integrated with rejected my business solely because it involved AI. This broke the payment flow completely, including test payments, and risked the entire submission. Despite these hurdles, I managed to find workarounds and keep pushing forward.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I’m proud that SnapSocial exists at all. I started out thinking I’d be lucky to ship a rough prototype with one or two features. Instead, I delivered a working product with real value. It not only works, it solves a real problem for people like me.
The UI is clean and surprisingly polished for something built under pressure. The platform feels cohesive, and it gives users power without overwhelming them.
What we learned
I learned that building something meaningful is still possible when life is chaotic, as long as you have the right tools and the right motivation. Bolt.new reminded me how much of a difference a well-designed platform can make. I also learned to trust the process more—progress comes in small, determined steps, even when it doesn’t feel like it at the time.
What's next for SnapSocial
SnapSocial was born out of personal need, but the more I use it, the more I believe in its broader potential. Now that I have my first paying customer, I want to refine the user experience based on real feedback and ensure the product can scale effectively. I plan to move from simple cron scheduling to a more robust message queue for better reliability and control. I'm also looking to integrate direct social media posting once platform approvals come through.
Beyond that, I intend to transition to a more professional payment platform and introduce the ability to train an AI agent to manage your brand messaging. This agent would escalate to the user only when it cannot find a confident response based on its training data or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) database.
There’s a lot ahead, but I’m excited for what’s coming.
Eventually, I’d love to integrate SnapSocial directly with EduVibz to help educators and creators share content more easily. I also plan to use SnapSocial to manage social media content for EduVibz, my wife's hair salon, and SnapSocial itself—demonstrating its versatility across different industries. At the same time, I want to grow SnapSocial’s client base and shape it into a viable business of its own, giving other solo founders, creators, and small businesses the power to stay active online without burning out.
This is just the beginning.
