Inspiration
At Bitcoin++ Beach Edition, a dude named 'JeffG' dropped a White Noise presentation that hit us like a rogue wave. Turns out, there’s a way to chat without bowing to Telegram’s overlords, lugging Signal’s beefy baggage, or flashing our private bits like some Nostr clients caught with their pants down.
It lit a fire under us, and we thought, 'Let’s zap this vision into overdrive with our Lightning tricks ⚡️—it’s what we’re shockingly good at!' We’re rooting for White Noise to take off like a rocket. One day, we’ll brag to our kids about rigging up its Lightning integration—while they’re busy zapping their buddies and rolling their eyes at our ancient tales of heroism.
What it does
Adds NWC natively to White Noise app.
How we built it
White Noise is built in Rust and Svelte (Tauri). We use the same tech stack.
Challenges we ran into
UX and UI challenges of invoices states using Nostr Messages Setting up a "protocol" over Nostr to do the above Storing secrets inside White Noise Setting up the project in NixOS
