Inspiration
Zanshin started as an experiment while our team worked on inner blockchain in a mobile crypto-wallet app. Inner blockchain solution was aiming to provide lower transaction commissions level for mobile app users in periods of time when Ethereum network commissions are high. As system architecture development was processing we questioned ourself why don’t use blockchain overlay for tokens exchange purposes too. Since our team has wide experience in high-frequency trading systems development and, thus, we got a picture of an exchange microarchitecture, we started to experiment with this idea on our spare time. This is how Zanshin-project has begun.
What it does
Zanshin is a blockchain which was designed as cross-chain decentralised decision to trade any cryptocurrencies between each other regardless of its owns native blockchains. Matching system integrated in Zanshin-blockchain mining process and DPOS consensus protocol will provide level 2 quotations, high transactions speed and low commissions levels. Smart contracts systems integrated in existing blockchains will allow users to deposit tokens to their Zanshin accounts as well as withdraw it back. Decentralised nature of project will provide full users control under their assets since user controls a private key.
How we built it
Since Zanshin started more as an experiment just for our own enjoyment we choose the most efficient in terms of development speed bases technologies stack: python, js, flask and ReactNative. Prototype blockchain itself, including mining process, matching system and API’s was build on flask bases and frontend was built with ReactNative.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge was a lack of time. In spite of we are deeply excited to bring Zanshin idea to live, it is steel a pet-project, so it is hard to watch progress growth slowly due to lack of resources. Nevertheless, we dedicated all our spare time to work on Zanshin-blockchain to make our dream-project become reality.

What we learned
Zanshin-project architecture demands solid knowledges of mathematics and technologies which is stand behind blockchain. So we were extremely exited to dive into it and raise our professional level.
What's next for Zanshin Exchange
Zanshin is on its basic prototype stage now, so there is a long way ahead. First we will integrate and tune DPOS consensus system. The second major task is to develop smart contracts systems and connect Zanshin to other blockchains through it. And the last but not the least is the wide marketing campaign to get people know about project.
