Inspiration
We wanted to use the arduino to perform a daily and cumbersome task.
What it does
It cleans the table when activated via bluetooth and powered on. It will turn upon detecting the edge of a table.
How we built it
We used a halbot in class and used 2 IRLB8721 N-Ch MOSFETs and 2 1N4001 Diodes. To create the sweepers, we used the servo motor to constantly spin once it is powered on. To activate the zamboni, we use the Bluefruit bluetooth module and clicked "1".
Challenges we ran into
With Bluetooth, sometimes our zamboni would not turn upon an edge. The Halbots also had mechanical issues in which the wheels would not spin at the same speed despite the same amount of input going into them.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating a zamboni that met our goals and guidelines
What we learned
How to code using the arduino code and building the project through a breadboard.
What's next for Zambonis
To implement code that allows it to turn more efficient and accurately.
