Zakat App Story

My inspiration to create Zakat App was to help Muslims like me be able to accurately find and help causes that matter to me. This app will gather local causes so an individual can see local and global issues facing the Muslim Community and be able to support. I built this application using Swift and Xcode. I was utilizing some new technologies such as parsing through data using a json file and connecting to Firebase which created some obstacles but I worked hard to debug and I am very proud of my outcome. I am very proud that I was able to spend time this summer working on a project that I am very passionate about. I learned a lot about building a features for an app and getting creative when debugging. What's next is to fully incorporate Mapping features and Stripe's API to be able to help users add and support local causes.
