Inspiration## Inspiration
The inspiration for this project was to create a complete, playable game within a limited hackathon time frame. I wanted to challenge myself to design and build a game from scratch while focusing on core game play mechanics and simplicity rather than complexity.
What I Learned
Through building this project, I learned how to better manage scope under time pressure, iterate quickly on game play ideas, and debug issues efficiently. I also gained more experience using Game Maker to structure game logic and handle player interactions.
How I Built It
The game was built using Game Maker. I implemented the core game play mechanics, basic UI, and game flow logic from start to finish. The focus was on creating a smooth and functional experience while keeping the design manageable within the hackathon timeline. Using both GML code and GML visual.
Challenges I Faced
One of the main challenges was balancing development time with feature completeness. Debugging game play issues and ensuring the game was stable enough for submission required careful prioritisation. Working within time constraints meant deciding which features were essential and which could be saved for future improvements.
