The inspiration for building YuvaPath came from observing how students in rural and Tier 2/3 regions of India often struggle with career guidance due to limited access to mentors, English-centric platforms, and lack of structured roadmaps. I wanted to create something simple, accessible, and truly personalized that could act like a mentor for every young learner. While working on this project, I learned how to integrate multiple technologies such as Tailwind CSS for UI, API Integration for backend, and Gemini API for AI-powered recommendations, along with linking external platforms like LinkedIn Learning, YouTube, and Internshala for real-world free resources. I built the project step by step, starting with onboarding and multi-language support, then adding career roadmap generation, course recommendations, and progress tracking. One of the biggest challenges I faced was ensuring multi-language accessibility, handling JSON data cleanly, and integrating external resources without overwhelming the user interface. Another challenge was balancing simplicity with depth, making sure the app stayed lightweight and mobile-friendly while still providing a complete career path. Overall, YuvaPath was a journey of learning about user-centric design, accessibility, and building scalable AI-driven education tools.
