Inspiration

Rappers are inspirational. Rap is inspirational.

What it does

Yung GPT is an AI rapper you can chat with anytime, anywhere. Start with some small talk, and then Yung GPT starts responding to you by rapping, incorporating things you mention into the raps.

How we built it

We used Vocode to string together Whisper (speech to text), ChatGPT, and Eleven Labs (text to speech).

Challenges we ran into

We realized there aren't any open source APIs for bespoke/celebrity voices. But Eleven Lab's British accent AI voice's dry rap delivery actually goes pretty hard.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Working demo that is fun to play with.

What we learned

Rap elevates conversations. Rap is engaging and fun. Rap puts an artistic lens onto any topic, interesting or mundane. Rap is the shit.

What's next for Yung GPT

Release it, test it out with rap fans.
