Inspiration

Doing what you love is one of the greatest things to experience. "yum" aims to encourage the pursuit of dreams, and to follow your heart by doing what you love. It is not easy to start the journey, and yum is here to help. Contribute effort, create, share, earn, collect. Everyone finds something of interest at yum. With crypto and XRP capabilities it is possible to close the gap between the creators and the audience and fuel growth. Lightning-fast speed and reasonable transaction fees on XRPL. A large number of supporters are cut off due to geographical reasons and payment methods are often times limited by very same region, which limits the creators reach.

What it does

"yum" shares links to content, connects socials and crypto, brings game developers, streamers and artists together. "yum" enables the creation of crowdfunding campaigns to receive donations / powerups via Crowdfunding, Awards from pixelart and sale of NFTs regardless of location. Campaigns are easy to share and access. Fractional NFTs can be added as Pledge Rewards to Crowdfunding campaigns. Bots will help share your content instantly to social platforms.

How we built it

Built with next.js that interacts via API with WordPress, which is used as admin panel and access to DB. XRPL npm library to connect and query XRPL network.

Challenges we ran into

Infrastructure for the app, social model under the business model that enables recuperation effect, the inflow of funds back into user projects to fuel the growth.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A launched app! And most importantly the app that enables creators to power their dreams through content they post at "yum". And it's running! As well as the project's very own token "yum", on XRPL. Which is launched.

What's next for "yum"

1. Support the creators with alternative ways of income besides donations, which are a continuation of their activities. One of the next steps: launch of service for pixel artists, to print works. Canvas prints, embroidery, and stickers.
2. Launch NFTs for crowdfunding campaigns. Where artists and influencers can collaborate. Every party earns. Campaign owner, artist, and influencer.
3. Rewrite the code in a more proper and secure way.
