Narrow down preferences
YouTube recommendations are not good. We set out to make a customized recommendation system allowing users to narrow down what they're in the mood for based on their data.
After logging in with their google account we fetch playlists and build a taste profile. They can then adjust sliders for newer/older videos and longer/shorter videos, updating the displayed thumbnails in real time.
This is software we will personally use and will be increasing scope and continuing development for fun after the hackathon.
