The proposed project is aimed to create social cohesiveness and mutual respect for all regardless of caste, gender, race, culture, religion, class through sports players. The project will engage 08 CSOs and youth led organizations mobilizing players for peace training module. Total 16 young coaches , 08 male female coaches will be trained as facilitators through three days cascade training workshop to capacitate them to lead peace activities. The workshop will cover the module players for Peace (sports for peace) with the core contents of peace building, conflict management, inter-cultural dialogue, mutual respect and develop a counter extremism and role of youth. The trained facilitators will conduct sessions with 80 male, female and trans players from cricket and football, volleyball and indoor games teams from targeted district/areas. The 08 youth sports teams will be provided sports kits and material to run the campaign Player for peace. These young people will play their role as players for peace through sports events and social media messaging to reach 3000 young people by organizing 08tournaments with the notion: player for peace mixing with trans, girls and young people from different faiths and religious minorities, ethnic minorities each and same for women to mix up with the marginalized social groups to promote messages of peace and social cohesiveness – co-existing, mutual respect to avoid religious conflicts and extremism. Thus, playing sports together – and bringing sports stars to meet them to promote peace can have a transformative impact on them. At the end of each tournaments, a learning sharing event will be organized with representation of all social groups who participated in sports events and training program. 08 Youth led organizations and CSOs will be strengthened and mobilized players for peace campaign .
