Inspiration
Inspiration came by looking at people trying to buy the same kind of clothes, only to eliminate the process of deciding what to wear. There we thought, why not eliminate the process of deciding using machine learning.
What it does
Using our app, users will upload images of all the clothes they have. Based on images our app will recommend to the user which set of clothes will go well together.
How we built it
For the prototype, we have used React JS for frontend, appwrite to easily work with APIs and to handle some data.
Challenges we ran into
Collecting the data for the machine-learning model was a challenge for us, but we did it. We had difficulties while integrating streamlit with the machine learning model.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The fact that our machine learning model is at a stage where it can work well with the website is something we are proud of.
What we learned
We learned to build and deploy extensions. We learned how to integrate appwrite with the app.
What's next for YourDrip
In the next iteration, we will create a chrome extension that will help users on websites like amazon, eBay, etc to know whether or not the cloth that they are going to buy will go well with their other clothes. And we will be switching to Amazon S3 for storage.
