Inspiration of project: We are team SOFA - Sulekha Yadav, Olivera Bay, Fatema Patrawala, and Ali Qureshi. We were thinking about kids and discussing what kind of issues parents face raising them. Especially with meal planning and cooking, and feeding them what we have cooked. In all of this, busy parents tend to think of getting some help and they would rely on daycares for their kids. Hence, we got the idea of creating an empathetic virtual nanny who would help parents with personalized recipes for kids, answer any parenting questions, and help with scheduling activities for their kids. When thinking of nanny, we quickly attached Mrs. Doubtfire's character from the famous 1993 movie. Mrs. Doubtfire is about a middle-aged, unemployed actor who disguises himself as a British nanny so he can spend more time with his kids.
What it does: Our virtual nanny will offer healthy recipes, parenting advice, and user-friendly tools that'll make your life a breeze. Plus, with an empathetic interface and Mrs. Doubtfire flair, mealtime will be a hoot for both you and your little ones! Additionally, this Virtual Nanny pairs up with LLMS to get creative and engaging responses for cooking and parenting. We have an entire onboarding flow for users where it will create a user profile and then once the profile is created it will offer personalized recommendations to parents.
What did you use: We used Miro to dump ideas and flowcharting and used Draw.io for the user journey and to write the dialogues. We built it entirely on Voiceflow using the GPT 4 plugins and AI Set Persona for Mrs. Doubtfire.
Challenges we ran into: Idea selection, managing time zones, and learning all the new features of Voiceflow.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: We have a working prototype with an onboarding journey and the recipe journey. We learned about using the LLMs within Voiceflow, we learned setting personas, and a lot about entities and variables.
