I was motivated to work on the Travel Plan project for Skyscanner because I liked the idea of providing a great user experience when deciding with friends where to travel, ensuring that everyone has a voice and vote in the process. That's why each member of the group uploads their preferences, and then the travel recommendations can be generated, where everyone can vote on their favorite on a scale of 1 to 10. The ranking will be sorted accordingly, and from there, they can access Skyscanner to search for flights.
The focus has been on making the app both visually appealing and user-friendly.
I am happy because I have learned to work more with NodeJS and Vue, which I hadn’t used much before, and I’ve also integrated the GPT API for the first time, which was really fun.
There are still things to improve, such as allowing users to see the preferences of others to know what they have chosen, or making the results more precise.
