She diligently writes them down, only to misplace the paper and end up endlessly scouring the internet in a futile attempt to rediscover the recipe. It's time to stop reinventing the wheel. In this age of cloud-based technology, everything is just a click away.

What it does

Ultimately, it serves as a family hub for meal planning, offering a comprehensive solution that not only allows you to store and organize your favorite recipes, but also enables you to effortlessly schedule them and generate a convenient shopping list on a weekly basis.

How we built it

The first crucial step involved constructing a comprehensive database to list and categorize recipes, which were further enhanced and organized using AI capabilities. The second step entailed thorough exploration of various platforms to source the finest recipes, subsequently reorganizing them for easy access. With this foundation in place, we proceeded to create weekly menus for efficient meal planning and tracking. Streamlining the process further, we developed a seamless method to generate a comprehensive shopping list for the entire week. Lastly, we transformed this system into a family hub, fostering effective communication and enabling the assignment of responsibilities among family members.

Challenges we ran into

Throughout the process, we encountered several challenges that demanded innovative solutions. Additionally, automating the calculation of the quantity of ingredients to purchase for the weekly menu posed another hurdle, especially considering the varying number of individuals to cater to each day.
