Inspiration: Since the theme of the hackathon was Hack & snack, we chose to do a project that was more lighthearted. Inspired by the Meal Diet Planning: "Calories in Food", as well as the recipe of different dishes we've come up with a simple web app, "your-personal-nutritionist" (a spinoff of Meal Planner and delicious Recipes), you can also hear food jokes.

What it Does The “your-personal-nutritionist” can be your personal nutritionist a web app based on React on which you can find diet according to calories you need daily. You can also see the different recipes that are integrated by using the powerful API by which you can see thousands of recipes and You can also find the calories in every recipe in last the most fun part is that you can also read a food joke just by clicking on food jokes button which seems to be very interesting.

Challenges We ran into One of our most difficult challenges was the "Recipe " function, which should have allowed the map loop on params but also, we want to pass the user first to see the recipe names in the forms of card then expand the recipe. However, several hours before the deadline, we discovered that the function does not perform the required function and that we are unable to use the cards in our project other difficulties we encountered included deciding on a theme for the recipe cards and Other difficulties we encountered included deciding on a theme for the card expands on click and show recipe. Creating the fully functional app with built-in recipe search was difficult at first because we didn't have a clear vision of what features we should add in our app or which features should not be added. We were inspired by a variety of sources, including many existing apps like meal-planners etc.

Accomplishment that we proud of

We're proud of ourselves for learning how to incorporate data in our web app by using real world powerful technologies. None of us had ever worked with React JS before, so learning it was an accomplishment, especially since we were new to React. Aside from that, the overall project. As a team we worked first time and we are new to Hackathons and that we signed up at the last minute, we were able to create a project that was not beyond our skill set but still presented a challenge. We are pleased with how far we were able to progress with this challenge as a group.

What we Learnt your-personal-nutritionist, and any project that requires collaboration between digital artists and developers results in better communication if the artist understands basic development. The ability to recognize your teammate's abilities and the time required for a task you are not performing is critical to creating a good design and a better project overall. I also tried new things and learned more React JS especially how to work with endpoints.

What’s Next in MealVersea This is our first project that we have undertaken outside of the classroom. This project taught us new coding skills while also being a lot of fun to create. We hope to look back on this project and see how much we improved as a result of it in the future. The following is what we intend to do next: Increase its aesthetically pleasing value by devoting more time to its design. Perhaps stick to one art style. Aspects of features: We might try a different type of coding challenge next time (such as authentication or Saving the Meal or Weekly Planner etc). It is also possible to expand on what we are currently learning in order to gain a better understanding.
