Inspiration The inspiration behind "Your Finance Buddy!" was to create a finance tracking app that can help people stay on top of their finances and make informed financial decisions. We wanted to develop a user-friendly app that can easily scan receipts and provide valuable analytics to help users track their expenses.

What it does "Your Finance Buddy!" is a finance tracking app that allows users to scan their receipts and provides valuable analytics to help them stay on top of their spending. The app has an intuitive and user-friendly interface that allows users to easily track their expenses, categorize their spending, and create budgets. The app also provides personalized insights and suggestions based on users' spending habits to help them make informed financial decisions.

How we built it We built "Your Finance Buddy!" using Flask, MongoDB, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We used Flask to create the backend of the app and MongoDB to store user data. We used HTML and CSS to create the frontend of the app, and JavaScript to add interactivity and functionality to the app.

Challenges we ran into One of the main challenges we faced while building "Your Finance Buddy!" was integrating the OCR technology to scan receipts accurately. We also faced some challenges with storing and retrieving user data from the MongoDB database.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud of the overall functionality and design of "Your Finance Buddy!" We are also proud of integrating the OCR technology to scan receipts accurately and creating personalized insights and suggestions for users based on their spending habits.

What we learned Building "Your Finance Buddy!" taught us a lot about Flask, MongoDB, OCR technology, and creating personalized insights based on user data. We also learned how to work effectively as a team and how to troubleshoot issues collaboratively.

What's next for Your Finance Buddy? In the future, we plan to add more features to "Your Finance Buddy!", such as a transaction categorisation feature, a search function, and the ability to link bank accounts and credit cards to the app. We also plan to improve the accuracy of the OCR technology and the personalised insights provided to users.
