my inspiration was when I just got out of high school and was working in a factory full time for 12 hours we used time cards and my boss wanted to know if I worked for 12.12 hours how much dose he owe me this was a back in 2020 and I had not had the time until now to make it since then Ive went back to collage for 2 years in computer information systems I and know how to handle a term and I Was like lets give it a shot send it.
its basic function is to allow anyone to covert time worked into money and store it and export it into different file types when needed.
how it was made this was built 90% using bolt 10 % my ramblings. The AI built most of the boring stuff like styles and it look good no complaints about the layout and graphics.
The most Challenging thing ever was I did not know react I can build almost anything in python using custom tinker or basic logic using c++ , and I know my web languages like HTML CSS and JS but I was not ready for react I looked at and for the most part it was like WHAT I'M I DONING. I could have done this all in python sure it would look ugly but it would work and I would know file structuring. other problems include bolt building a UI with cool and useless filler information and broken logic (buttons that wont do anything) then when I tried to remove this information it broke the application
Accomplishments: it works :) .
what did I learn: if you use a new language with an AI make sure you understand the basic syntax of the language and how file structures work this just confirmed that you still need a strong base line and understanding to make any meaningful progress.
What's next for Time Keeper: I want to add a way to set a default currency then make it able to switch back and forth between different currency's maybe crypto. and Tax deduction calculators like PST, GST stuff like that right now I'm happy with the results .
