Inspiration
As students in the University we always faced challenges when it came to classes and when we learned new information. We wanted a site where students could learn from one another in a community as well as edit and add to pages in order to expand. Always wanting some form of application that would allow us to learn and integrate more knowledge that is user friendly we sought out to complete that.
What it does
With this application we are able to allow students to signup via login and save their information and sign in for later. With the different subjects we've added within each ones topics provide for users to learn in a more dynamic approach that auto updates as they go to fit their level of understanding. With this we also provide an AI that links to this and then within it we allow for users to ask questions with real time updates. Comment sections as well as site edits are provided and would allow for a more community approach that lets users interact and have a more friendly approach to those learning the same thing.
How we built it
React, Typescript, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, SmallTalk
Challenges we ran into
Challenges that we ran into involved the AI API which was having difficulty connecting to the severs. Another was that the firebase was not inputting values into another database which made it difficult to save information. Issues with advanced CSS techniques that would not stack into one another and for it to be flush amongst the rest of the changes.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Having success with solving all of the issues prior. Being able to incorporate the vision and brainstorming we had on a scale big enough to show the kind of growth that we can see in the future in order to maybe one day publish fully.
What we learned
We integrated LLM's Firebase
What's next for YOUniversity
One day being able to fill it on a large scale where students and teachers alike are able to help one another and then interact in a community with a never ending topics and resources.
