You should buy a Prius.

Inspiration

You ever drive your car and can only travel for like 2 minutes before you run out of gas? Yeah that's because you don't drive a Prius. We made this app to show people using 105% undeniable logic that they should buy a Prius.

What it does

The user can input their inferior car's mpg, the distance they plan on driving, and the price of gas in their area. The app will then use these numbers to calculate how the user's car compares to a Prius, and output the amount of money the user would be saving if they just drove a superior car instead.

How we built it

We used Android Studio with Java in order to build this app.

Challenges we ran into

We wanted to make a popup window appear when displaying your result, but we couldn't figure out how to do that so we decided to create a new intent and move to that window instead.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have been able to create such a necessary and socially impactful app for the world. Non-Prius owners everywhere will be so thankful that they downloaded our app and learned the error of their ways.

What we learned

While we learned some lessons about how to collaborate on a project as a team, as well as how to use Android Studio, the most important thing we confirmed is that the Prius is, in fact, the most superior car on the market.
