Inspiration

Most AI tools today are reactive — they wait for prompts, answer questions, and stop there.

We wanted to explore the future of AI where systems move beyond chatbots and become true agents that can understand users, make decisions, protect focus, and actively help complete goals.

That led to You² — an Autonomous Digital Twin Agent that learns how a person thinks, works, prioritizes, and gets distracted, then acts like their intelligent second self.

The idea was simple:

What if everyone had a personalized AI twin working alongside them every day?

What it does

You² creates a digital twin of the user using onboarding data, behavior signals, goals, and interaction history.

It can:

  • Learn productivity habits and working patterns
  • Give personalized recommendations
  • Reorder and optimize task lists
  • Detect distraction patterns in the browser
  • Warn users when focus drifts
  • Launch the right tools/sites to complete tasks
  • Automatically redirect users back to productive work

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was moving beyond a chatbot mindset.

Many AI projects can generate responses, but the hackathon theme required true agent behavior. That meant designing systems that:

  • take proactive actions
  • automate workflows
  • trigger interventions
  • adapt based on behavior
  • help execute goals, not just discuss them

Another challenge was balancing automation with privacy. We solved this by excluding sensitive categories such as banking, healthcare, payments, and private dashboards.

What we learned

We learned that the next generation of AI products will not be generic assistants.

They will be:

  • deeply personalized
  • continuously learning
  • context aware
  • action oriented
  • trusted companions

We also learned that great AI products need strong UX just as much as strong models.
