Inspiration

The journey to studying abroad is complex and often overwhelming. We were inspired to create Yosac to make this journey smarter and easier. Many students struggle with scattered information, confusing application processes, and lack of personalized guidance. We wanted to build a solution that feels like a personal counsellor—intelligent, efficient, and always available.

What it does

Yosac is an AI-powered overseas education advisor that helps students find the best-fit universities and programs. It generates personalized shortlists (Safe, Target, Ambitious) based on a student’s academic background, test scores (e.g., GRE, TOEFL), and preferences. Yosac also provides deep insights into universities, programs, visa requirements, scholarships, and more—using specialized research tools tailored to the query.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built an end-to-end system that truly feels like a smart counsellor. Developed dynamic query-based tool activation for deep research. Successfully generated personalized shortlists with good accuracy and relevance.

What we learned

Prompt engineering is a superpower when working with LLMs. User expectations are high in guidance tools—clarity and trust are key. Modular tools for specific query types enhance both performance and precision.
