Inspiration

Noticing that my siblings were increasingly drawn to headsets and gaming consoles instead of playing with their Legos, I was inspired to find a way to reignite their interest. Our goal is to make building with Legos more interactive and engaging, capturing the imagination of today’s youth.

What it does

xrBrickView revolutionizes the Lego-building experience by allowing users to visualize Lego instructions in augmented reality.

How we built it

We utilized powerful open-source tools such as WebXR, Three.js, and LDraw to bring our vision to life.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was selecting the right library for the user interface and determining the best way to handle user input.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We take great pride in our creation, which was developed entirely with free resources and tools. :)

What we learned

Through this project, we gained valuable insights into LDraw and the various file types used by the Lego community, including ldr, io, and mpd.

What's next for Yolo:cx
