Inspiration
The inspiration behind Yoga-ON stems from a desire to blend modern technology with the ancient practice of yoga which I became familiar with due to my family, making it more accessible and interactive for users of all levels and ages.
What it does
Yoga-ON is a revolutionary yoga app designed to guide users through their yoga practice with ease and precision. Utilizing the power of pose detection and real-time feedback, users can refine their postures while following along with reference videos. The app offers a seamless experience, from selecting yoga levels to practicing poses, all within the comfort of your own space.
How I built it
Yoga-ON is built using Python and the KivyMD framework, leveraging its capabilities to create a user-friendly interface with multiple screens. Pose detection technology is integrated to provide invaluable feedback on posture alignment, enhancing the user's yoga journey. The app also incorporates a countdown timer and interactive buttons for smooth navigation, ensuring a holistic experience.
Challenges I ran into
Developing Yoga-ON presented several challenges, particularly in integrating pose detection seamlessly into the app. Fine-tuning the algorithm to accurately analyze and provide feedback on various yoga poses required extensive testing and iteration. Additionally, ensuring compatibility across different devices and optimizing performance were ongoing challenges throughout the development process.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
