Yggdrasils Erwachen (Yggdrasils Awakening)

Inspiration

"Yggdrasils Erwachen" was inspired by the Norse creation myth — the moment the cosmos forms from the body of Ymir and the first gods, Odin, Vili and Vé, shape the world.
I wanted to capture the feeling of primordial creation, when darkness becomes form, and the nine worlds begin to take shape. My goal was to merge myth, music and AI-driven visuals into a single poetic experience.

What I Built

This project is an AI-generated music video combining original music, lyrics and mythological storytelling.
Using LTX Studio for scene creation and animation, I built a sequence of cosmic, dreamlike visuals representing the birth of the worlds and the rising of Yggdrasil.
AI image generation was used for environmental plates, textures and symbolic elements like runes, cosmic light and mythic silhouettes.

The entire piece was composed, edited and structured manually — from story pacing to color grading — to ensure a cohesive cinematic mood.

Challenges

The biggest challenge was visualizing a myth that has no canonical depiction.
There are few references for the creation of the worlds, so finding a visual language that felt ancient yet original required experimentation with color, symbolism and pacing.
Another challenge was balancing the AI output with artistic control — ensuring the visuals supported the emotional tone of the music.

Accomplishments

This project successfully merges mythic storytelling with modern AI tools.
It creates a unique atmosphere that feels both ancient and futuristic — a ritual-like cinematic poem telling the first chapter of Norse cosmology.
It marks a foundational step in my larger artistic universe, where I explore myth, light and shadow through AI-enhanced music videos.

What I Learned

I learned how to refine AI-generated animation into a cohesive narrative, how to combine symbolic imagery with music-driven pacing, and how to preserve emotional authenticity while using cutting-edge tools.

What's Next

This video is part of a growing mythological series.
Future projects will continue exploring Norse stories, ritual aesthetics and character-driven worldbuilding using both AI and traditional artistic methods.
