About YesLnk
Inspiration
The idea for YesLnk came from a simple but growing problem: it has become increasingly difficult to know whether a website or online organization is genuinely trustworthy. Phishing attacks, fake businesses, impersonation, and fraudulent websites continue to increase, while most existing security indicators focus on technical aspects rather than verifying the real-world identity behind a website.
We wanted to build a platform that bridges the gap between cybersecurity and human trust by creating a global directory where organizations can prove both their identity and their ownership of digital assets, giving users greater confidence before they interact online.
What We Built
YesLnk is a Global Trust Directory that combines cryptographic verification, domain ownership validation, continuous monitoring, AI-assisted analysis, and human review to establish trust for websites and organizations.
Organizations verify ownership of their domains, submit identity documentation, and undergo a verification process. Once approved, YesLnk issues a cryptographically signed trust record that can be consumed by web applications, browser extensions, APIs, and future integrations.
Unlike traditional reputation services that rely primarily on automated signals, YesLnk combines AI with expert human verification to provide more transparent and accountable trust decisions.
How We Built It
We developed YesLnk as a full-stack platform using modern web technologies.
- Frontend: Next.js
- Backend: Node.js
- Database: PostgreSQL with Prisma ORM
- Security: Cryptographic trust attestations using digital signatures
- Verification: Domain ownership validation, identity verification, and human review
- Intelligence: AI-assisted risk analysis combined with expert verification
- Monitoring: Continuous tracking of DNS, TLS certificates, hosting changes, and other trust signals
Challenges We Faced
Building a trustworthy platform required balancing automation with human judgment. One of the biggest challenges was designing a trust system that remains transparent, resistant to abuse, and capable of adapting as organizations evolve.
Other challenges included:
- Securely verifying domain ownership.
- Designing a fair and explainable reputation system.
- Protecting user privacy while maintaining complete audit trails.
- Scaling the architecture for global adoption.
- Combining AI insights with human decision-making without sacrificing transparency.
What We Learned
Throughout the project, we learned that digital trust extends far beyond technical security. Establishing trust requires transparency, accountability, continuous monitoring, and meaningful human oversight.
Building YesLnk strengthened our knowledge of:
- Secure software architecture
- Cryptographic verification
- AI-assisted risk analysis
- Reputation and trust systems
- Scalable cloud infrastructure
- Human-centered security design
Looking Ahead
Our vision is for YesLnk to become a universal trust infrastructure for the internet—helping individuals, businesses, and governments verify digital identities, reduce online fraud, and make the web a safer place for everyone.
