Inspiration
After seeing the success of apps such as SideChat, we realized the need for the ability to communicate with anyone across the globe, YesChat accomplishes that.
What it does
YesChat is a full stack web application that serves essentially as a message board. Images and text can be added, as well as comments.
How we built it
YesChat was built using Flask as the web framework and mongodb as the backend.
Challenges we ran into
Coming up with an idea initially was difficult, as was choosing our tech stack.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating a functional backend was a huge accomplishment. As was creating a fully functional web application.
What we learned
Coming up with ideas and implementing them is difficult. Also, choosing a tech stack takes time. You can't simply go with the most popular one for every project.
What's next for YesChat
We eventually plan on publishing this once we can get a moderation feature up and running.
