Inspiration
Every day, our team and millions of people worldwide face critical challenges in healthcare accessibility: complex appointment booking systems, scattered clinic information across dozens of websites, inconvenient phone calls, and the near-impossible task of finding suitable medical care during emergencies. A recent incident with our teammate highlighted this problem. He accidentally swallowed a tin can lid and, in his panic, struggled to find a clinic with X-ray capabilities. He looked for a nearby clinic that should have provided the required service, however, four clinics failed to meet the criteria, and the overall results were unsatisfactory This personal crisis became our catalyst. We realized that in 2025, when we can order food, transportation, and entertainment with a few taps, healthcare remains frustratingly fragmented and ineffective.
What it does(a lot):
- Smart Search & Booking: Intelligent filtering by specialty, price, ratings, and location with instant online booking and payment processing across multiple clinics.
- Transparent Clinic Profiles: Detailed clinic cards featuring locations, verified ratings, services, specialists, equipment quality, certificates, pricing, and authentic patient reviews.
- AI Medical Assistant: Symptom analysis with urgency classification (green/yellow/red), specialist recommendations, and emergency clinic matching with automated booking capabilities.
- Digital Health Records: HL7 FHIR-compliant medical cards storing allergies, test results, visit history, and treatment records that auto-update after appointments.
- Integrated Health Management: Medication reminders, appointment scheduling, emergency response system, and comprehensive health dashboards.
- Neuroscience Insights: Beyond healthcare delivery, our platform collects anonymized behavioral data, such as decision-making under stress and response to health reminders. These patterns can support neuroscience research while also improving our AI models to better predict patient needs.
How we built it
Modern, scalable and optimal tech stack: Frontend: Next.js with TypeScript, TailwindCSS, Lucide-react(modern icons), Leaflet(Interactive maping), MaterialUI Backend & Database: Next.js, Supabase, Prisma ORM, SQL integration, Security: End-to-end encryption for sensitive health data following HIPAA/GDPR standards
Challenges we ran into
Given the scale of our ambitious project, completing it within 48 hours was a (1) challenge. Therefore, it was 2 sleepless nights with about 400mg of caffeine. Since this is our passion project and we want to bring it fully to life, we were focused on (2) ensuring the privacy and security of our clients’ medical data, as well as the proper licensing of healthcare providers. This mission was our main problem throughout the course of development. Finally, making all work together - ai agent with medical cards of patients, personalized clinics for each patient, small features(f.e “Health tip of the day”) and etc.
Accomplishments that we’re proud of:
Willing to help people worldwide live healthier lives. Built a clean frontend with user-friendly ui/ux Developed a comprehensive backend with AI Made sure the system is secure and transparent We successfully launched an Instagram account to build our project’s online presence
What we learned
- Security and Transparency are the base of digital healthcare
- Dividing duties evenly is important for good teamwork.
- It is important to write readable and concise code for effective working on the task
- DON’T PUT TOO MUCH TRUST ON AI for development of important and big features.
What’s next?
Phase 1: Pilot Launch - We're launching in Almaty with carefully selected private clinics to validate our platform with real patients and gather crucial feedback for refinement. Phase 2: Mobile Expansion - Developing native iOS and Android applications with offline capabilities for medical records access during emergencies, plus comprehensive analytics dashboards for participating clinics. Phase 3: Regulatory Compliance - Conducting comprehensive legal audits for medical data handling, localizing privacy policies for regional compliance, and establishing partnerships with medical insurance providers.
