Inspiration
We saw an app like Fizz and wanted to create something similar that would allow students to buy and sell on campus with increased trust.
What it does
it allows students to enter into a social marketplace where they can see products that are being sold by their fiends and fellow students and can reach out and contact when needed. The app, due to its security and login process allows them to trust the sellers and other members of the marketplace.
How we built it
We used the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, NodeJS). We used tailwinds css for styling, json web tokens for authentication and MongoDB Atlas for cloud storage and persistence.
Challenges we ran into
Connecting Github code spaces running client and server since these often would have core issues and would frequently restart in the middle of deployment.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learning to use React, JWT, MongoDB Atlas.
What we learned
React, JWT, MongoDB,Atlas, Express, Node, JavaScript.
What's next for Yellow
We aim to continue developing the site until it is a complete application usable for the Georgia Tech community.
