How we built it
We wanted to start using the hipster JavaScript technologies as well, so we decided to give react-native a try.
It was a lot of fun especially, setting up the development environment, the emulators and the sometimes working live preview with expo
.
Even dough we had our starting problems we could learn a lot about modern app development and what is possible in such a short amount of time.
Challenges we ran into
react-native. ![]()
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We could implement most of the features we planned (or didn't plan) beforehand, in such a small amount of time.
What we learned
react-native.
Emojis are strange. ![]()
What's next for yelims - The smallest, emoji based, social network!
Of course add all the other hipster technologies like:
- bolckchain
- cloud
- deep learning/machine learning
- augmented reality
- chatbots
- wearable
- more microservices
- proximity based

And of course build up a solid user base of people posting ![]()
