ApplicationSignal - An AI powered YC Report platform

Introduction

Application Signal is a platform that collects every YC-backed startup from 2020 to 2026, embeds them into a vector database, and visualizes them on an interactive map. I came up with the idea while preparing my own YC application and found it is very useful thus convert it into a AI platform for public use.

Design Details

Each cluster in the interactive map represents startups that are highly similar to one another. If you’re a founder looking to validate or refine your next big idea, you can search for a concept, explore similar companies, and quickly understand the competitive landscape.

We also provide an AI-powered analysis service. Users can generate a detailed report for their startup idea using credits.

The report is powered by our models trained on thousands of YC companies. One of its key outputs is the YC Fit Score, which is predicted by our deep learning model. The model evaluates factors such as your business model, founder background, market opportunity, and growth potential to estimate how well your startup aligns with successful YC companies. It also provides actionable suggestions for improvement and identifies the companies most similar to your idea, allowing you to generate reports for them as well.

Future map

The goal is simple: to help founders make stronger YC applications with data-driven insights.

In the future, We hope to expand the platform to support more use cases in the future, while continuously improving our models to deliver more accurate YC Fit scores and more actionable suggestions for founders.
