YC Mentor

Inspiration

YC has less than 1% acceptance rate but many of those who don't get in still need mentorship. YC mentor fills that need.

What it does

A gamified YC batch where you do an interview so we can learn more about your startup. Then you can choose a group partner, and you can also join calls with any mentor to get advice on your startup. During meetings, you and the ai can take notes together to keep track of insights and actionable tasks.

How we built it

Using Next.js, instantDB and 11labs voices.

Challenges we ran into

Making the agent be more human like on a phone call with short responses that feels real as opposed to long verbose responses that LLMs usually give.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a granola type note taking system where both the user and the AI can take notes during meetings.

What we learned

To build AI agents using 11labs conversational AI platform.

What's next for YC Mentor

Adding more AI mentors and adding proactive features where these mentors can reach out to you on Slack and keep you accountable.
