Inspiration

Planning a trip should be exciting, but in reality, it often becomes stressful and time-consuming. Travelers usually switch between multiple apps, compare countless options, and struggle with poor or unstable internet connectivity. We wanted to simplify this experience and remove unnecessary friction from travel booking. Our inspiration came from tools people already use every day, such as WhatsApp and voice assistants. These platforms feel natural, familiar, and easy to use. We asked ourselves: Why shouldn’t travel booking be this simple? This idea motivated us to build a smart, conversational, and accessible travel assistant that anyone can use with ease.

What it does

How we built it

We developed an AI-powered travel assistant that helps users plan and book journeys quickly, safely, and conveniently. After a secure sign-up, users receive a personalized experience and can interact with the AI through: Voice commands Manual entry WhatsApp integration One of the key features of our platform is offline planning. Users can enter travel details without an internet connection, and once connectivity is restored, the system automatically syncs and processes the booking. To make travel planning smoother, users can: Add co-travelers for group bookings Choose transport options using Smart Select Mode Flight Train Bus Car Review journey details before confirmation Throughout development, our goal was to keep the platform intelligent yet simple, ensuring a smooth and user-friendly experience.

Challenges we ran into

Implementing offline functionality was one of our biggest challenges. We had to ensure that user data was stored securely and synced accurately once the internet connection was restored. Another challenge was improving voice recognition accuracy, so the AI could correctly understand user intent across different accents and speaking styles. Designing a conversational booking flow that felt natural while maintaining strong data security required careful planning and testing. Each challenge pushed us to think creatively and improve the reliability of our solution.

What we learned

This project was a valuable learning experience for our team. We learned how important it is to design technology that focuses on real user needs instead of unnecessary complexity. We gained hands-on experience with: Conversational AI systems Offline data handling and synchronization Secure booking workflows Beyond technical skills, this project strengthened our team collaboration, improved our problem-solving abilities, and taught us to always design solutions from the user’s perspective.
