To raise awareness about local community issues

What it does

The YASSSS app which stands for You All See Something, Say Something -- inspired by our city's unofficial motto for public safety, and our team's favorite word of encouragement is a community platform to raise awareness and increase local resident's involvement in community issues. Top voted issues in your community are sent weekly to your local district representative to keep them in the loop as well as to expedite issue resolution. Team work makes the dream work.

This app is built in Swift 4

Challenges we ran into

Brainstorming and finalizing the app concept and design took up the most amount of time. We initially tried to built out the full app and thought of a lot of features for it but there wasn't enough time to build it all out

What We learned

We learned that at hackathons: the aim is to create a prototype of an app, not a fully fledged, fully developed app. The most important aspect is the idea
