Bonzi Buddy, Clippy, Productivity, 90s educational games, and Malware

What it does

It's a virtual assistant that insults and annoys you when it detects unproductive windows on your screen such as YouTube, Social Media, or a game.

How we built it

Python, ChatGPT For automated response, 11labs for the voice, Tkinter

Challenges we ran into

YOLOv8 accuracy, AI Model Training, Latency for voice, Roboflow for the AI model to detect screen changes, API_Keys improperly working, Documentation for APIs, Timing for YALLO responses, YALLO movement on screen.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

YALLO moves around, Workflow, Organization, Cooperation, functional iterations, Github with minimal issues, and a successful hackathon project

What we learned

AI Recognition software, ChatGPT APIs, YOLOv8, 11labs, Tkinter, Python classes, Python window manipulation, how to read bad documentation, Machine learning, and sprite animation.

What's next for YALLO

Integration of AI-Training model to detect specifically desktop windows, support for multiple platforms. Working title screen.
