Inspiration
- Pierson College plays a game called Spoons every year. I wanted to make this a campus-wide phenomenon, but with such a large playing field, this is only possible with a futuristic app!
What it does
- Pokemon Go meets Assassin. Your job is to tag your target. But someone else is targeting you, too! Take a photo of your target to eliminate them, and last man standing wins!
Features
- Yalies.io integration: Sign up with your Yale email, and your photo is automatically pulled for your assassin to see
- Locate your target: See your target's real-time location on the map, along with their photo and ResCo
- Shop: get coins for keeping your location on. Use coins to buy powerups!
- Photo tag: Take a picture of you tapping your target, and post it to the feed for others to celebrate!
How we built it
- React Native; Firebase; Google Maps. Made for iOS and Android (Cross Platform 4 Lyfe).
Challenges we ran into
- This was Eric's first time doing mobile app development with React Native!
Judging
- If you have an Android, download the APK from devpost and
adb install! - If you have an iPhone and it's in developer mode, see me and I can try to load the app to your device. No promises though, Apple is a pain.
