Inspiration
I wanted to help local ice-cream parlours reduce food waste while giving customers affordable treats.
What it does
Yah! lets parlours sell surplus ice cream at discounted prices through Last Scoop deals. Customers can browse deals, place demo orders, and track Yah!’s community impact.
How we built it
I built a responsive web platform with a product catalog, shopping cart, demo checkout, Vendor Hub, order tracking, Last Scoop marketplace, and impact dashboard. The project is deployed on Vercel.
Challenges we ran into
My biggest challenge was transforming a regular ice-cream website into a solution for food waste while creating useful experiences for both customers and vendors.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I created a complete prototype with a clear community mission, discounted surplus listings, vendor tools, and impact tracking.
What we learned
I learned that a strong project should connect every feature to a real problem and clearly show how it benefits the community.
What's next
I plan to add real vendor accounts, secure payments, live inventory, notifications, and delivery coordination.
