Inspiration
Gamification is always fun so we took inspiration for our board game from Monopoly, Jumanji and 21.
What it does
Users play against one another rolling the dice and progressing through the board. If you land or pass 21, you get to define the Near challenge that every other player has to perform if they fall into the pits of obsidian.
How we built it
We used Next.js and Tailwind for the front-end. For the back-end, we are using the Molecular Execution Machine to listen to actions on Near. https://www.mem.tech
Challenges we ran into
The front-end certainly was a challenge because the team never has designed a board game before. Also, this is the team's first attempt at building on Near so learning the ins and outs of how it works was also time consuming.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that in a matter of days, the team being Arweave and EVM native, has immersed itself in the Near ecosystem.
What we learned
We understood the differences between Near and EVM.
What's next for YoctoManji
YoctoManji aims to be the premier onboarding site for new consumers and developers ready to learn about the Near ecosystem. Through our gamified learning tracks, we hope that a calculated and organized onboarding process will attract and retain users in the Near ecosystem.
