A Better Hackathon for Everyone

  Here are my ideas

Inspiration

Being a new member who has only recently joined DEVPOST and done around 5 hackathons, I would like to say that there are many aspects in the way DEVPOST(things that they didn't include) was designed that I did not like much. This was my inspiration to create a few ideas that would definitely help members who are just joining DEVPOST, and maybe even advanced coders as well.

What it does

Basically, my ideas help make the users' life when doing the hackathon faster and easier. Here are the different components:

1. First, they should put some kind of button or link which leads to different tutorials and examples of the specific hackathon's theme, which could help the user think of an idea for the project.
2. For the tutorials part of the hackathon idea, many users do not know how to do certain commands and instruction posted on the hackathon page, and to help out, they can put tutorials on how to do some of these things such as turn the image under 5mb, create a github repository, and more. 3.One of the main things I would like implemented to shorten time is for each hackathon with a certain restriction for a particular language(s) is to add a link or document for the certain languages components and libraries to find what you are looking for faster. What I mean by this is that there are many instances where people can get stuck with a problem, or want to implement some kind of idea that they have in mind, but just do not know how to code it. If there were links or add ons of libraries of the languages of components in the hackathon, the person could easily find what they are looking for instead of wasting their time online looking for a solution. This can also help if you get an error in your code. ## How we built it I built it using text notes on the ipad, and made around a ten minute video explaining how the ideas would be implemented and help the user. ## Challenges we ran into There weren't any significant challenges I ran into, other than thinking of these ideas on how to improve the user's experience. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of I am proud of thinking of these ideas, and will be more happy if these ideas will be implemented in hackathon and help out everyone. ## What we learned I learned more about how to improve a certain project, and also learned ways to help people have an easier time with the hackathon. ## What's next for A Better Hackathon for Everyone I will add more ideas on how DEVPOST can help create a better hackathon for everyone!
