The problem
The presence of coronavirus is an obstacle to many kinds of human interaction. One which is particularly relevant for hospitals and businesses is signing to consent for the treatment of data. However, it is critical for business and research to have an effective tool to get and manage consent in a secure, private, and transparent way.
In addition to that, in most companies managing consents require cumbersome paperwork, which:
- is time-consuming;
- does not help to make an informed decision;
- is prone to failure in the storage of documents for a long time.
"User agreements" forms are usually opaque, long and complex, therefore, few people read it and cannot make an informed decision about their data.
Our solution
We propose a digital solution that allows the consumer of signing the consent remotely and safely. Moreover, we enable companies, hospitals, and research institutions to manage in a smart and secure way past and futures contracts. On the Citizen side, we act as a filter to make it easier to understand the agreement and give him/her a picture of who has rights on any of their data, forever.
Finally, we want to make a contribution and educate citizens to manage and value their data. We believe that data ownership is a fundamental human right and will empower multiple UN SDGs (such as Decent Work and Economic Growth (8); Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (9); Reducing Inequality (10); Sustainable Cities and Communities (11); Responsible Consumption and Production (12))
How it works
Consenso's workflow:
- When consent or authentication is required, a digital module is sent to the citizen app, which signs the request with a double factor identification (pin or fingerprint).
- We identify the citizen and associate with his/her account.
- The business can easily access the consents received through a digitized archive, i.e. the company which gets the data and asks for the consent from the consumer.
- The consumer can check at any time which consents has been given, to whom, and manage them with a user-friendly app.
Mentoring needs
We need:
- Legal knowledge GDPR and Privacy.
- Cybersecurity.
