WIP: I'm passionate about spaces and media, online and offline, analogue and digital.
After a longer break, I am back and still undergoing a transformation and reorganisation of my services myself, so this project was inspired by my own need showcasing my skills and also by the need for solo entrepreneurs and businesses to create memorable and immersive brand experiences that go beyond traditional 2D interfaces. As an interior architect and post-graduate production designer specializing in BrandSpaces, I wanted to bridge the gap between physical spaces and the digital world, offering a tool that not only showcases identity but also fosters interaction and engagement. Building this project using Spline allowed me to explore the potential of 3D environments for branding and interactivity. I learned (and I am still learning, since it's still wip) how to create intuitive and visually captivating spaces while integrating functional elements like clickable links and media. Those links lead to various sites and services like website, sales platforms, email address and so on. One of the challenges was ensuring the balance between artistic creativity and technical functionality, especially when planning for potential integration into mobile apps and VR*. This journey reinforced my belief in the transformative power of immersive 3D environments to redefine how brands connect with their audiences, both online and in real-world settings. *Next would be the transformation into a 3D app for cellphones as well as modifying it for use in virtual reality.
The created 3D space with spatial interaction as the main feature can be used for many solutions: 2D images with different viewing angles for any use on the website and in marketing flyers, etc,. If you can't or don't want to build a big room, you can also just build concise brand elements or, for example, animate an interesting logo and use it as an interactive basis. With the interactive 3d application as a medium, you can stage storytelling in any form, very excitingly also in virtual reality or augmented reality.
Thanks to Spline's support, the project is not limited to desktop browsers, but can easily be integrated into a mobile application, allowing users to immerse themselves in the 3D world with all their devices. Spline is already working on virtual reality support so that my interactive 3d world can be experienced not only on screens, but also in an immersive vr environment. My work is easily transferable to other companies and solo freelancers. and my project goes beyond the digital world by seamlessly transferring to physical spaces. This hybrid use of space as an interface makes my heart soar ;-) Best, Rhea https://brandspaces.framer.website/
